This is a Principal Consultant-level role requiring deep technical expertise in Anaplan, including the Polaris calculation engine, combined with strong functional knowledge of workforce and resource planning processes. The role is designed to support the implementation of both custom bespoke planning solutions and Anaplan’s newer workforce-related applications, including Contact Center Planning, Operational Workforce Planning, and Project Resource Planning applications.

The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable architecting tailored solutions for unique client requirements and leading implementation of Anaplan applications that accelerate time to value, standardization, and adoption.
This role is critical to the successful deployment of new Anaplan models and applications and must provide excellent client service, make best-practice recommendations, and identify opportunities for future transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities of the Principal Consultant Include:
Architect, design, and implement scalable Anaplan solutions leveraging both Classic and Polaris engines.
Lead delivery of enterprise-grade workforce planning models across use cases such as:

Strategic workforce planning
Project resource planning (cost and profitability)
Serve as the technical and functional authority for solution design, model structure, data architecture, hierarchy design, model performance optimization, and governance.
Partner with client stakeholders to assess current-state planning processes and design future-state solutions that improve forecasting, staffing, capacity, utilization, cost visibility, and decision support.
Translate business requirements into scalable model designs, user stories, dimensional structures, calculation logic, workflows, security, and reporting experiences.
Collaborate with clients to define end-to-end planning architecture, including data flows, integrations, scenario management, reporting outputs, and user experience.
Lead design workshops, requirements gathering sessions, data mapping, solution reviews, UAT, deployment, and hypercare support.
Advise clients on best practices for workforce planning transformation, including operational planning maturity, governance, planning cadence, and cross-functional alignment.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align solution design with organizational objectives and Keyrus / Anaplan best practices.
Collaborate with data integration specialists to connect Anaplan with source systems such as ERP, HCM, CRM, PSA, WFM platforms, and enterprise data warehouses / BI tools.
Design and optimize models that support workforce drivers such as demand volumes, productivity assumptions, staffing ratios, shrinkage, occupancy, utilization, scheduling inputs, capacity supply, labor cost, and profitability.
Provide hands-on mentorship to model builders and consultants, ensuring adherence to the Anaplan Way, modeling standards, and scalable architecture principles.
Create demo models, proofs of concept, and solution prototypes to support pre-sales activities and strategic pursuits.
Deliver presentations and demonstrations to audiences ranging from executives to business users.
Identify gaps in business and technical requirements, testing, potential project risks, and communication issues throughout delivery.
Determine priorities, scope, timeline, goals, and key milestones for requested enhancements and model defects.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for performance tuning, re-architecture, and broader connected planning value.
Evaluate and implement emerging Anaplan capabilities such as Co-Planner, Co-Builder, Forecaster, Optimizer, and Data Orchestrator, where appropriate.
Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to internal workforce planning offerings, accelerators, and reusable assets.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their strategic goals and helping shape future roadmap opportunities.
